Gender equality is a force multiplier that improves outcomes across sectors, from economic growth and climate change to peacebuilding and democracy. Yet, funding for gender equality and women-led movements is declining and thereby undermining progress. 

The year 2025 is a critical juncture for global stocktaking. To achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and advance the commitments of the Beijing Platform for Action and UN Security Council Resolution 1325, safeguarding, sustaining, and increasing funding and resources for feminist and women-led movements is critical.
